REDEFINING REFLECTION THROUGH REAL-TIME AI CREATIVITY
For the Out of Office Art Show in London, an interactive installation invited guests to become both muse and maker through refrAIme, a real-time AI mirror experience.
What began as a simple act of looking into a mirror became an intimate creative journey. Each visitor watched their reflection evolve into a vivid digital artwork, unique to them, shaped by the interplay of movement, expression, and machine imagination.

MAKING CREATIVITY INSTANTLY ACCESSIBLE TO ANYONE
The goal was to dissolve the divide between artist and audience, transforming passive observation into spontaneous self-expression.
The challenge was to create an experience that felt immediate, intuitive, and emotionally resonant, while maintaining technical precision and aesthetic depth in real time.
Using refrAIme, our proprietary AI mirror platform, the installation transformed visitors’ live reflections through generative design. Real-time vision algorithms and AI models reinterpreted each person’s image, shifting between visual styles that ranged from abstract colour fields to hyperreal portraiture.
Every transformation unfolded fluidly, layering brushstrokes, textures, and tones with precise responsiveness. The interface was designed for ease and immediacy, allowing guests to engage without instruction. Each session concluded with a short, shareable video, extending the creative moment beyond the exhibition and into the digital world.
A JOURNEY BEYOND EXPECTATION
The experience turned spectators into co-creators, offering a moment of joyful authorship in an otherwise passive setting. Each output was distinct, expressive, and personal, creating a collective gallery of living portraits that celebrated individuality through technology.
The installation’s success has seen it continue beyond the event, finding a new home within the client’s London office — a lasting reflection of creativity in motion.
