A HIGH-ENERGY INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION FOR NOCTA’S LONDON LAUNCH
As part of the London launch of NOCTA’s new collection, designed by iconic creative Tony Spackman, Nike Nocta took over The Truman Brewery with a fast-paced, immersive laser targeting experience. Delivered in collaboration with Metallic Inc, who led the wider event production, the installation became a focal point of the night, drawing crowds through sound, light, and competitive play.
One of five sensory workshops within the SIGHT category, the experience translated NOCTA’s sharp, performance-driven aesthetic into a physical, game-like environment that rewarded focus, speed, and repeat engagement.
CREATING IMPACT IN A MULTI-EXPERIENCE SPACE
Within a busy launch environment featuring multiple parallel activations, the challenge was to design an experience that could instantly attract attention, scale with player skill, and remain compelling across the duration of the event.
The installation needed to feel authentically connected to the NOCTA brand while operating as a robust live system. Fast onboarding, clear feedback, and technical reliability were essential, as was the ability to encourage replay without artificial limits or scripted outcomes.
PERFORMANCE-LED GAMEPLAY, BUILT FOR LIVE ENERGY
The installation was designed and developed as a real-time projection-based game using TouchDesigner, combining custom gameplay logic with live visuals and responsive scoring systems. Participants wore a bespoke laser glove interface, transforming physical movement into precise digital interaction.
Targets appeared at increasing speed and intensity, pushing players to react faster and perform better with each run. There was no cap on progression, only the player’s ability to keep up. A live leaderboard tracked top scores throughout the night, creating a competitive loop that encouraged repeat play and crowd participation.
Close collaboration with Metallic Inc ensured the experience integrated seamlessly into the wider event flow, both technically and spatially. Sound, lighting, and projection were tuned to amplify the sense of urgency and immersion, turning the space into a constant point of motion and attention.
A STANDOUT MOMENT OF PLAY AND PERFORMANCE
CODE SIGHT quickly became one of the most active areas of the launch, with continuous queues and spectators gathering to watch high scores being chased in real time. The open-ended difficulty curve kept the experience fresh, while the leaderboard mechanic drove repeat engagement throughout the evening.
As part of the wider SIGHT programme, the installation helped anchor the category with a bold, physical expression of precision and performance. It delivered not just a game, but a shared moment of energy that reinforced NOCTA’s identity within a crowded cultural launch environment.
“CODE SIGHT brought a real sense of intensity to the NOCTA launch. The combination of physical movement, live visuals, and competition made it an instant crowd magnet, and working so closely together allowed the experience to land exactly as intended.”
