Interactive touch-table installation Solarflare built for Infosys at the World Aviation Festival 2025, Lisbon. Turns the Infosys Cobalt aviation platform into a navigable, tactile B2B demo.
Making enterprise software tangible
Infosys Cobalt is a cloud and digital transformation platform built specifically for the aviation sector. It is complex, capable and not easy to explain to a room of aviation executives in a conference hall in Lisbon. We built an interactive touch-table installation for the World Aviation Festival 2025 that turned the platform into something you could navigate with your hands. The brief was to make Cobalt feel concrete rather than conceptual, to take what is normally a slide deck or a product demo and replace it with something that senior decision-makers could explore at their own pace during the conference floor hours. Touch-table format was chosen deliberately: it invites side-by-side engagement, it works for two people or six, and it fits naturally into a stand environment.
Designing for aviation decision-makers
The content architecture was built around the decision journey of an airline or airport technology buyer. We mapped the key capability areas of Cobalt, the types of questions that come up at procurement level and the specific operational problems the platform addresses, then designed a navigation structure that let a visitor move between them without needing a guided demo. The visual language drew on aviation systems design: clean, precision-oriented, functional. The interaction model was kept shallow on purpose. At a busy conference stand, people have three to five minutes before they are pulled away. The installation was designed to deliver a clear, memorable read on what Cobalt does within that window.
B2B conference technology that works on the floor
The logistics of a conference installation are as important as the creative. The World Aviation Festival floor is loud, bright and physically demanding on hardware. We specified and tested the system for the environment, not for a showroom. The Infosys team could operate the system without us on-site after a single handover session. That matters at a live event with a stand team running multiple conversations simultaneously. The installation ran across both days of the festival and held up through the volume of traffic that a top-tier aviation conference generates.
