Your Mental State as a Living Landscape
Myndscape turns biometric data into a real-time 3D environment that reflects your inner state. Heart rate, breathing pattern and focus level feed into the system continuously, and the visual landscape evolves in response: terrain shifts, weather changes, the density and colour of the world reflect what the data is showing. The concept came from a question we kept returning to in conversations about wellbeing technology: most biometric tools show you numbers. What if they showed you a place instead? The landscape metaphor gives the data spatial and emotional resonance that a graph cannot. A stormy, fragmented terrain reads differently than a still, open one, even before you know which biometric is driving it.
Biometric to Visual Pipeline
The technical build connects real-time biometric sensors to a generative 3D environment via a parameter mapping layer that translates physiological signals into visual properties. Heart rate drives one set of visual variables, respiration another, focus a third. The mappings were designed so that the relationships feel intuitive rather than arbitrary: faster heart rate produces more kinetic environmental behaviour, slower breathing produces calmer terrain. The 3D environment was built to support continuous variation without visual discontinuity, which is a specific challenge in generative landscape work. The world has to change in ways that feel like weather, not like parameter sliders being adjusted.
