Crafting a Real-Time Digital Experience
In the spirit of the season, our LAUNCH team set about crafting an innovative holiday experience. The challenge? To seamlessly showcase the advancing potential of real-time AI technology. Tailored for platforms like TikTok or Snapchat, our goal was to create an augmented social filter that not only brings a responsive Santa to life but also one with a tailored yet unpredictable personality.
The Tech Behind the Social Filter
With the festive challenge clear, our team went about designing a Santa character, animating his motion and integrating a workflow of AI tools to enable real-time interactions. Using Blender for modelling and voice rigging, ChatGPT for training his responses and Eleven Labs for a nostalgic voice over, the emphasis was on creating an easy, user-friendly experience, allowing festive moments to be captured and shared directly across socials.
Double the Fun
The experience features two modes. The first allows you to record the hilarious responses of your friends and family. The second lets you give Santa a call and jump on FaceTime anytime, anywhere – be it a pub, beach, or bar. Who knows where he’ll be taking a break until the big day?
Sassy Santa: A Blueprint for Brands
Sassy Santa not only succeeded in delivering real-time AI-driven interactions but also brought about humorous social moments that surpass traditional cracker jokes. Leveraging AI, AR, and 3D design, it stands as a testament to our studio’s ability to infuse cutting-edge tech, creativity, and personality into tradition.
This PoC serves as a blueprint for brands interested in new ways to connect with their audience, creating memorable, consumer-centric moments. Through AI-driven interactions, there’s industry-wide potential to personalise consumer experiences, build trust, and drive sales with bespoke character engagements.
