The Shutter Lounge is an interactive, beautifully designed virtual venue built to host virtual events and experiences. Developed in collaboration with Private Drama and Wise Productions, the space can be used for private parties, conferences, award ceremonies and is available for dry hire.

We developed an amazing virtual space within Unreal Engine, inspired by a 20’s, Gatsbyesque, cabaret environment to host parties and performances. Working with a wide range of cabaret artists, from dancers, singers to aerial performers all filmed against a green screen, and then camera matched to generate the same view within Unreal, merging the two together to deliver a seamless, immersive performance.
Mixing live and pre-recorded performances, we were able to create an engaging event solution, ideal for Christmas parties during lock down.
The entire experience is hosted by a charismatic live Master of Ceremonies, Chastity who sets the pace, keeps the audience engaged and adds a personalised feel throughout.
Virtual experiences can fall flat if they’re not interactive and engaging the audience, it’s why we added some live elements:
Taking live requests through a mobile application that participants could download prior to or during the event. Messages from guests appear on the screen, along with shout-outs, requests and dedications, creating a real sense of involvement.
DJ Emma helps finish off the evening in style.
An interactive cabaret show wouldn’t be complete without a cocktail. We collaborated with Mix n Match’s mixologists to show the audience how to create the perfect accompanying cocktails.
Boxes with measured ingredients were sent to guests prior to the event, allowing them to create their own drinks for the evening.
We included live, interactive quizzes as part of the evening of events, hosted by Jimmy Carr, Stephen Mangan and Chastity Belt.
Participants were able to enter their answers via our interactive web app, and compete with their colleagues for maximum bragging rights.
Over the 5 live events, we worked with a wide range of world renowned acts and performers, from amazing dance routines by Aaron & Jasmine and Majella & Ollie to hilarious musical performances by The Alex Horne Band, conjuring feats by Magical Bones to epic stage shows by Tokio Myers, to name just a few.
