A live, skill-based bar challenge Solarflare built with Island Marketing. Three games, £10,000 prize, real-time detection, and a UK rollout extending across major sports-bar and gaming venues from The Post Box, Basingstoke.
Three challenges. £10,000. One unforgettable run.
The 10K Hat-Trick is a live, skill-based bar challenge built around the kind of promise people remember the next morning. Pay your stake, complete three games in a row, walk out with £10,000. Beer pong into a single cup. A shuffleboard puck into the scoring zone. One dart at the bullseye. Nail all three and you're £10,000 richer. Miss any one of them and you're explaining yourself to your mates for the rest of the night. Either way, the room watches. Either way, the night gets a story attached to it.Solarflare built the digital backbone that makes the experience reliable enough to scale, and Island Marketing built the bar-grade physical installation. The first venue is The Post Box Sports Bar in Basingstoke, with a UK rollout extending across major sports-bar and gaming-venue partners from there.
An activation that earns its space at the bar.
What makes The 10K Hat-Trick land for venue operators is that it doesn't sit quietly in the corner. The stakes pull a crowd. Every attempt is a thirty-second moment of pressure with everyone in earshot watching. The third throw, when somebody is still alive, is the moment people pull their phones out for. That's footfall, dwell time and earned social content, all running through one branded fixture in the room. For partners rolling the activation across multiple venues, the mechanic is repeatable without becoming repetitive. The format stays the same. The stakes, the player and the energy in the room are different every night. It works as a flagship moment for a launch event, a recurring weekend feature, or the centrepiece of a brand activation programme tied to a bigger sports calendar.
Built reliably, built to scale across the UK.
The whole experience is over in under five minutes, which is the part venues care about. A participant arrives, registers and pays through the microsite in thirty seconds. Each of the three games is detected in real time: cup-level recognition for beer pong, puck position read against a scoring zone for shuffleboard, a clean go/no-go on the bullseye dart. Results lock instantly, and a central flow controller decides what happens next, so the room's lighting, the participant's microsite view, and the operator console all read the same outcome at the same moment. No ambiguity, no parallel states, no awkward pauses while staff check what just happened. The platform is architected so the same software stack drops cleanly into the next venue with only the local hardware re-paired. As the rollout extends into major sports-bar and gaming destinations across the UK, one backend orchestrates every venue, with each location reporting in. That's the part that turns a one-off stunt into a programme: identical experience, identical reliability, infinitely replayable, with the kind of natural shareability that keeps venues asking when the next run is.
